There is some erosion in the bore mostly in the grooves. Overall, the stocks are in Very Good condition.įinish Originality: Original to Finnish Buildīore Condition: The bore is mostly bright. The buttplate has some scratches and minor patches of oxidation. The LOP is 13.5” from the trigger to the rear end of the buttplate. The stock has some handling wear including minor scratches and nicks but it lacks any notable defects. Please note that no sling is included with the rifle. Also included are three sling swivels with one on the bottom of the buttstock, one on the left side of the barrel band and the other one on the bottom of the barrel band while there is a sling bar on the left side of the butt. The bottom of the magazine is marked with a crossed out Soviet/Russian serial number “89865” and the Finnish serial number “4005”, the front tang of the magazine is marked with a Tula Arsenal hammer. The right side of the butt has a Sako marking and stock maker’s mark with an “S”.

A series of Cyrrilc markings, romanized here, remain on the bolt including an “S”, “F”, “CCT”, “F”, “3” and “1” on the right side and a pre-1928 Soviet-era Tula hammer on the top. The Bolt has had its original serial number “71332” crossed out, a new serial number was added to the bolt’s handle knob “4005”. The top of the octagonal receiver has had the original Russian/Soviet proof removed leaving a shallow divot. The right side of the Octagonal receiver is marked with the importer’s serial number “224005”. The left side of the shank is marked with a Sako post-1934 high-pressure proof mark and the Suomen Armeija (Finnish Army) “SA” proof mark. Markings: The top of the barrel shank is marked with a faded proof, a Sako factory mark, the serial number “224005” and “1942”.
